27 ITB Student Business Groups Secure PMW X TOP ITB 2020 Funding

BANDUNG, Ditmawa ITB - A total of 27 ITB student business groups managed to get funding in the Student Entrepreneurial Program (PMW, Program Mahasiswa Wirausaha) X Technopreneurship Orientation Program (TOP) or the so-called PMW X TOP 2020.

“123 business groups were enrolling, then after Proposal and Pitching selection processes, 27 Business Groups finally secure funding from PMW X TOP ITB 2020. Of those groups, they were split into several business categories, such as Environmental and ICT technology, Health and Beauty technology, Services and Social, ICT, Food, as well as Fashion and Creative,” said the Head of Sub Directorate of Professional Development and Entrepreneurship, Ditmawa (Directorate of Student Affairs) ITB, Sonny Rustiadi SE, MBA, Ph.D., CBAP at the virtual opening of the PMW X TOP ITB 2020 on September 5, 2020.

In this annual program, Sonny partnered with the Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development ITB (LPIK-ITB) to create a more customized workshop in respective business group categories.

Meanwhile, the Director of Student Affairs, Dr. G. Prasetyo Adhitama M.Sn, said entrepreneurship is considered to have community service value as it can create new jobs for people. It becomes universities’ main work, not only domestic ones but also leading universities abroad are trying to unleash the students’ potential to have an entrepreneurial spirit in implementing their respective expertise.

“In 2021, the government is going to create more systematic entrepreneurship centers in universities. One role model in developing the said program is ITB. This is a perfect opportunity for ITB students to grow their entrepreneurial spirit,” said Prasetyo.
