Head of Sub-Directorate of Student Organization and Student Achievement Development, Ditmawa ITB, Dr. Epin Saepudin M.pd, said that his party had prepared a student team to participate in the competition for approximately three months. But, first, preparations were carried out, starting from recruitment to take part in the selection at the internal campus level, then to the regional level, until finally selected students who passed to the national level.
"Of the 20 students who took part in the preparation, there were 18 students who passed the national level ONMIPA. To prepare for the competition at the national level, we also held a centralized exercise," said Epin.
He admitted that the acquisition of students who won the ONMIPA General Champion did not give a strange impression, considering that ITB had been the General Champion in the competition several times. However, he also appreciated the enthusiasm and seriousness of the students who made preparations until D-day of the competition. He also believes that every maximum effort will always bear sweet fruit, like the results of the ONMIPA this time.
In addition, Epin said that the main goal for students to participate in a competition is not only about medals but also as a learning event. But this is not about the substance of the material being tested but skills in socializing and building networks with students and institutions outside the ITB campus. The reason is that the challenges of students in the future will be much more severe, for that building a network will also have an impact on their end.
He hoped that the student team who had won at ONMIPA this time could help guide the following students participating in a similar competition. This regeneration process needs to be carried out to achieve the education goals at ITB, which are scoring champions in competition events and getting positive processing values ??when competitions. For this reason, he considers the supervisor's guidance to be crucial.
"We appreciate and thank the students and supervisors who have helped the team get the best results. The supervisor's role in encouraging the seriousness of students in preparing to qualify for the national level is vital. Therefore, we express our appreciation to Dr. Fiki Taufik A.S., S.Si., M.Si, Dr. Dikhi Firmansyah S.Si., M.Si, and Afif Humam S.Si., M.Si as MIPA supervisors," he concluded.
