BANDUNG, kemahasiswaan.itb.ac.id – At the 13th UI Studentpreneurs event organized by the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (FEB UI), ITB students who were members of the "Upside Down" team succeeded in achieving 1st place in the Business Model Canvas Competition. This competition involves universities in Indonesia.

The team named "Upside Down" consists of Celine Caroline (Pharmaceutical Science and Technology 2020, ITB), Naqisya Arifani (Mathematics 2020, ITB), and Jessica Safira (Economic Sciences 2021, UI). Even though they come from different majors, they proved that hard work together and good communication can bear sweet fruit.

The "Upside Down" team's preparation process began in early November when they regularly held online meetings to discuss strategies and tasks to be completed. Even though busy schedules and differences in geographical locations are challenges, with maintained communication and good time management, they can overcome all these obstacles.

According to Naqisya Arifani, one of the team members, the key to their success is communication and openness between group members and effective time management. Even though each team member's busy schedule is different, they try to align their schedules to complete the tasks that must be completed jointly.

"Our schedules are different because we have different majors and units, so we let each other know what we're busy with during the week so we can find free time. Sometimes, we also have something sudden, so that's the importance of communication, so we can back up each other. "So we keep going even though our busy lives are different," said Naqisya.

Not only that, but the principle of daring to explore fields outside the major is also the key to the success of the "Upside Down" team. With an interest in the business field, they successfully apply their knowledge and skills.

"Because I myself have an interest in the business sector, TPB has also learned a little from me regarding business. So, as long as you are still studying, explore all fields as much as possible, even outside your major. Who knows, from exploring that field, you can get new connections, gain new experiences and knowledge for sure, and maybe it can open up other opportunities in the future," concluded Celine.

The achievements achieved by the "Upside Down" team in the Business Model Canvas Competition are not only encouraging but also hope to inspire other academics to continue to dare to innovate and explore their own potential even outside their study program.
