BANDUNG, kemahasiswaan.itb.ac.id – Career Center Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB) once again held the Titian Karier Terpadu (TKT) career fair on April 14-15th 2025. TKT is an annual event that connects ITB students and graduates with a wide range of companies to open up career opportunities and broaden industrial insights. One of the highlights came from the nickel mining sector through a presentation by Mineral Alam Abadi (MAA) Group, delivered on Tuesday (April 15, 2025) at Aula Timur, ITB Ganesha Campus. The presentation was led by Randy Renaldy Junio Moal, the HR Strategy Manager representing MAA Group.
Randy introduced MAA Group as a holding company that operates not only in nickel mining but also across quarrying, trading, and shipping sectors. Their operations span multiple locations across Sulawesi—including Morowali, Lorenai, Luwuk, and Obi Island in the Maluku Islands—as well as a site in Lampung and an upcoming project in the Solomon Islands.
He also shared the company’s core values, which serve as the foundation of their operations. “At MAA, we believe everyone should be open-minded, (indicated with) willingness to receive feedback and engage in discussions. We place high value on accountability, knowledge sharing, and continuous innovation,” Randy emphasized.
These values, he added, are more than just words—they are embedded in MAA’s daily work culture, both on-site and in strategic decision-making processes. The company actively promotes sustainable innovation and interdepartmental collaboration, especially in addressing environmental issues.
“We rehabilitate mined-out areas. We reshape the topography and replant vegetations,” Randy explained, underscoring the company’s commitment to sustainability and ecological responsibility.
MAA also introduced detailed approaches on their technical front in nickel mining operations. From exploration and excavation to ore blending, all the way to its own shipment system. Randy emphasized the importance of understanding the characteristics of nickel ores, particularly the laterite deposits predominant in Indonesia, to ensure efficient production tailored to the plant requirements.
On this occasion, MAA also opened wide career opportunities for young Indonesian talents, especially ITB students and graduates as well as all participants attending TKT ITB 2025. Participants were not only invited to explore job opportunities but also encouraged to reflect on the meaning of work itself—that working is not just about producing results, but also about responsibility, learning, and making impacts.
