BANDUNG, kemahasiswaan.itb.ac.id – As part of the Titian Karier Terpadu ITB that was held on April 2025, Kapal Api Group delivered an insightful presentation at Aula Timur, ITB Ganesha Campus, on Tuesday (April 15, 2025). The session was led by Pambudi Soenarsihanto, Human Capital Director of Kapal Api Group, who addressed not only the technical preparations for joining the workforce but also emphasized the importance of leadership, adaptability, and innovation in building a sustainable career. Pambudi began by highlighting today’s global uncertainties and how those influence recruitment practices. According to him, companies are becoming increasingly selective, and job seekers need more than just diplomas or high GPAs to stand out. In the session, Pambudi emphasized that career success is not solely determined by educational background, but also by the ability to keep learning and adapting. He highlighted the importance of having an open mindset toward change, citing examples of major companies that failed, unable to keep up with technological and market developments. “In the future, what matters most won’t be where our diploma comes from nor how high our GPA is, but our ability to learn and adapt,” he stated. Speaking beyond personal development, Pambudi shared how Kapal Api Group has not only survived but thrived amid rapid transformations. Known widely for its traditional black coffee, the company has boldly ventured into new markets by launching innovative products such as klepon-flavored coffee and date milk coffee, which have been particularly well received in the Middle Eastern market. These innovations, he added, prove that Kapal Api is not just selling products but also building cultural relevance and global market appeal. Pambudi also underscored the company’s core values—particularly the spirit of continuous learning and the importance of teamwork and continuous learning. He wrapped up by encouraging students to recognize their personal strengths, embrace failure as part of the process, and continue exploring until they find a career path that truly fits them. “Life is an experiment—just like finding a life partner. You don’t always get it right on the first try. Careers work the same way. You try, you fail, and you try again—until you find the right fit,” Pambudi concluded. |
