JATINANGOR, kemahasiswaan.itb.ac.id – The Indonesian ABU Robocon (KRAI) 2025 officially concluded on Tuesday (7/8/2025) at the ITB Futsal Sports Hall on the Jatinangor Campus. After a selection process, intense competitions, and various technical challenges, the KRAI 2025 concluded with an appreciation night. This celebrates the enthusiasm, innovation, and collaboration of all participants. Throughout the two days of competition, the participants demonstrated resilience not only in their robots' technical performance but also in their solid teamwork.

The appreciation night began with an angklung performance from Saung Angklung Udjo. In addition to the performance, all participants who completed the competition were also invited to play the angklung instruments distributed earlier in the interactive session. This session was led by a conductor on stage, and smiles and laughter were seen from the participants, who were finally able to release their tension after the competition. The sense of togetherness and collaborative spirit was palpable, framing the closing ceremony with a warm and meaningful cultural touch.

After that, the most anticipated moment arrived: the announcement of the winners. The rotating trophy, Sambhawana Pratimacala, was won by the RIVERA team from Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (ITS) as the first place and team with the best strategy award. They were followed by EIRA from Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya and DEWARUCI from Politeknik Perkapalan Negeri Surabaya as second and third place, respectively. The Consolation Winner went to INVICTO from Universitas Brawijaya, while MAESTRO EVO from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta received the best design award.

The Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of ITB, Prof. Dr. Irwan Meilano, S.T., M.Sc., was also present to close the event. In his remarks, he expressed his pride in the enthusiasm and hard work of all participants. He believed that participating in this competition was not just about winning or losing, but about daring to surpass one's limits. He also expressed his gratitude to the entire committee, judges, and supporting team, and apologized for any shortcomings in the organization.

"Once you decide to participate in this competition, you successfully challenge yourself, challenge your limits, until you finally compete," he said.

The participants of KRAI 2025 also expressed deep impressions. One participant described the competition as exciting and fair, although there was still room for improvement on the technical side. Another participant, Yusuf from Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), admitted he never expected to reach the national level and called his participation a valuable experience that motivated his team to develop further. These stories emphasize that KRAI is not just a robotics platform, but also an arena for personal growth and collective spirit.

"With all the challenges and what we faced before, it's been extraordinary for us to even get here," said Yusuf.

KRAI 2025 has officially closed, but the enthusiasm spreading from this competition continues. More than just a competition, KRAI is a space where ideas, cultures, and visions for the future converge. As host, ITB is proud to have been a part of this journey, where all participants have written a significant chapter in the history of robotics in Indonesia.
